Luca Enriques is Professor of Corporate Law at the University of Oxford Faculty of Law, ECGI Research Fellow and EBI Fellow Academic Member. In 2013-14 he was Professor of Business Law at LUISS University, Department of Law. In 2012-13 he was Nomura Visiting Professor of International Financial Systems at Harvard Law School. From 2007 to 2012 he was a commissioner  at Consob, the Italian Securities and Exchange Commission. Before then, he was Professor of Business Law at the University of Bologna. He has been a consultant to Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton (2003-2007) and he is an adviser to the Italian Ministry of the Economy and Finance (as already between 2000 and 2006) on matters relating to corporate, banking and securities law with a special focus on European policy initiatives. Appointed by the European Commission as a member of the Forum of Market Experts on Auditors’ Liability (2005-2007) and of the Reflection Group on the Future of EU Company Law (2010-2011), he has frequently taken part as a panelist to European Union hearings and conferences on corporate governance and securities law.  Representative publications include The Anatomy of Corporate Law (2d and 3d edition) (with R. Kraakman et al.),  Corporate Governance reforms in Continental Europe (with P. Volpin) , 21 Journal of Economic Perspectives 117 (2007) and  Principles of Financial Regulation (with J. Armour and others). 

Luca Enriques è Professor of Corporate Law presso la Faculty of Law dell'Università di Oxford, ECGI Research Fellow e EBI Fellow Academic Member. Ha conseguito un LLM alla Harvard Law School, un dottorato di ricerca in diritto commerciale presso l’Università Bocconi e, tra il 1999 e il 2012, è stato ricercatore e quindi professore associato, straordinario e ordinario all’Università di Bologna. Ha svolto attività di ricerca per brevi periodi alla Cornell Law School in qualità di John Olin Fellow (1999 e 2000) e alla Cambridge University (2002). Tra il 1995 e il 1999 ha lavorato in Banca d’Italia. E’ consulente del Ministero dell'Economia e delle Finanze (come già tra il 2000 e il 2006) ed è stato Independent Consultant dello studio legale Cleary Gottlieb Steen and Hamilton (2003-07); ha collaborato con il Segretariato Generale della Presidenza della Repubblica (2001) ed è stato amministratore indipendente di Banca Caboto (2004-06). Ha collaborato con la Commissione Europea quale membro del Forum of Market Experts on Auditors’ Liability (2005-07) e del Reflection Group on the Future of EU Company Law (2010-11). Dal 2007 al 2012 è stato commissario Consob. Nel 2012-13 è stato Nomura Visiting Professor of International Financial Systems alla Harvard Law School. Nel 2013-2014 è stato Professore Ordinario di diritto commerciale presso il Dipartimento di Giurisprudenza della Università LUISS “Guido Carli”.
